Lakeysha has served UC Berkeley for 7 years, and most recently as the East Contra Costa County Regional Manager for Destination College Advising Corps & Early Academic Outreach Program, a role in which she has supervised 7 College Adviser Fellows; provided training, professional development, and guidance for her staff; and collected, analyzed, and evaluated student enrollment, service, and outcomes through data.
Before her role in CEP, Lakeysha served as an Assistant Director in the Office of Undergraduate Admission at UC Berkeley, where she planned, managed, and implemented events to enhance recruitment and yield efforts that included hosting new student receptions, diversity initiative events, and mentoring programs. In particular, Lakeysha was able to serve as the coordinator for the residential program, Berkeley Summer Experience, which is a large-scale summer 3-day residential program that hosts an array of college knowledge workshops for 150 rising high school seniors and California community college transfer students.
She is very excited to be back in college access work while shedding light in a different capacity within education.
