Solano County Educational Consortium

In December, 2007 the California Student Aid Commission funded an effort to re-establish Cal-SOAP consortium services in Solano County.  The Solano County Educational Consortium (SCEC) was established by a partnership with Solano County school districts, community-based organizations, and local colleges and universities to help Solano County youth pursue and prepare for college.

In the Fall of 2008, Cal-SOAP funding came through the federal College Access Challenge Grant Program and the East Bay Consortium (EBC) took over the fiscal sponsorship of the SCEC program and Cal-SOAP services in Solano County.

Through the support of these partnerships, SCEC professional and undergraduate student staff are able to provide services and bring our partner resources to Solano County students, families and schools.  SCEC reaches over 2,000 students annually at 12 different schools in Solano County.

SCEC staff will help Solano students realize their college dreams and increase academic engagement across students, families, and community members.
