To & Through College
The Center for Educational Partnerships’ commitment to educationally underserved and underrepresented students does not end once someone is accepted into a post-secondary program. We believe continued advocacy and support provides a foundation for college success. Simply put, we want our students to not only pursue secondary education, but also to thrive there.
Of particular interest to CEP is the transition or “handoff” from secondary to post-secondary education. While there is existing research on college access and persistence for lower-income first generation students, we believe there are additional opportunities to learn from and improve the process. CEP embraces the responsibility to broaden the scope of our work from a focus on admission to college to include supporting students on their path to and through college, take an active role in access, persistence and student success in college.
