Opal Lee, "the Grandmother of Juneteenth," is a 94-year-old activist who has spent decades working to make June 19th a national holiday celebrating of the true abolition of slavery. She wants all Americans to understand that none of us are free until we are all free, and celebrating Juneteenth is crucial to that understanding.
