Christina Tinsley is a Bay Area native and proud alum of the California Community College system. She transferred from Laney College in Oakland to UC Berkeley, where she earned her BA in American Studies. As a student at Berkeley, the lack of diversity Christina observed inspired her to pursue a career advancing educational equity. Since 2007 she has been passionately working toward that goal, helping students of color, first generation college students, low-income students, and other underserved communities to successfully navigate community college and gain access to a UC education. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, movie nights with her two kids, spending time with friends and extended family, and reading a good book.
