Gina Clayton grew up in the Pacific Northwest. During her early childhood she lived in Corvallis, Oregon, home of Oregon State University and later in Eugene where she attended Lane Community College eventually, transferred to the University of Oregon where she studied Mass Communication. Gina loved her undergraduate experience which created a longing to live in a more diverse community. Following her passion, Gina relocated to the Bay Area where she has held positions in public relations and Coroporate Communications as well as higher education, working at Saint Mary’s College and the Graduate School of Education at UC Berkeley. Shortly after earning her teaching credential at CSU, East Bay, Gina accepted a position with the Transfer Alliance Project where her passion for education and helping students has allowed her to touch the lives of countless transfer students. Beyond work, Gina enjoys watching her daughter play volleyball and spending time with her husband and their dog and cats.
