Violeta Gorgonio

Violeta (Vee) is a proud product of MtDiablo High School (a school served by CEP) and the TRIO program! As a first generation high school and college graduate who attended Diablo Valley College and later transferred to UC Berkeley (GO BEARS!), she truly believes college access programs change lives. After Berkeley, Vee had the privilege to serve the Vallejo community as a DCAC/EAOP College Adviser Fellow at Hogan High School. Immediately after her fellowship, she attended graduate school at Teachers College, Columbia University in New York CIty and received her Masters in Higher Education. While in NYC, Vee also served students in the South Bronx as a College Adviser for the NYU College Advising Corps and interned at Barnard College Admissions. Once finishing her Masters program, she returned to California to work for her alma mater -  UC Berkeley’s Office of Undergraduate Admissions. At Berkeley Admissions, she spent 9 years developing into a seasoned higher education professional. Now she is excited to return to DCAC/EAOP and to be serving in the capacity of Regional Manager. She firmly believes in the work we do to serve students and their families whole-heartedly, and is excited to work with the College Advising Fellows in East Contra Costa County as they develop as young professionals.
