A LITTLE ABOUT ME
I was born in the Philippines and moved to the United States when I was 13 years old. I am a former Pittsburg High School Pirate (Class of 2006) as well as an EAOP alumnus! With the support of EAOP, I had the opportunity to attend UC Berkeley. As an immigrant, I didn't have much knowledge of the college systems here in the US. All I knew was that furthering my education was something that was in my future. EAOP showed me the path towards my goal and for that I will be forever grateful.
WHY I AM COMMITTED TO THIS WORK
The advice that I received from EAOP when I was a student is something that I will always treasure. Without this program, I wouldn't be where I am today. Doing this work is me giving back to the ones that helped me along the way. Becoming that person who is able to support other students attain their own dreams and aspirations is my own way of giving back to the community.
FUN FACT(S)
I enjoy food immensely. If I had to choose one type of food to eat for the rest of my life it would be Korean food (because it's delicious)! I have an unhealthy obsession with Korean dramas which was a large part of why I learned the language.
