Aileen’s hometown is Burbank, California. She is a first-generation college graduate from the University of California, Santa Barbara. She received her BA in Cultural Anthropology and minor in Applied Psychology. Through her personal experiences and involvement with college access programs, she has developed a passion for creating access for diverse communities and working toward educational equity.

Born and raised in the relentless heat of Los Mochis, Sinaloa, Mexico, Lucy’s lifelong passion for learning brought her to the foggy hills of San Francisco and to the beginner level ESL Classes at City College of San Francisco. Bounphieng Khamnouane

Boun Khamnouane was born in Phongsali, Laos. His family fled communist persecution and migrated to the United States in 1986. In 2002, he received his Bachelor of Arts in South Southeast Asian Studies from the University California at Berkeley. While at Berkeley, he was a co-president of LASR (Laotian American Student Representatives) and founding member of the Southeast Asian Student Coalition (SASC). Bryan Martinez

Bryan is a first-generation college graduate. He attended community college at Los Angeles Mission College and transferred to UC Berkeley as an English major. He is currently a Transfer Specialist at UC Berkeley’s Community College Transfer Services and Transfer Alliance Project. He loves working with community college students and assisting them through the transfer process. He is in the process of completing his MFT counseling degree to help him merge the fields of higher education and mental health.
