Yvette Flores is the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Educational Partnerships at UC Berkeley, where she leads 10 college access and academic preparation programs within the Center for Educational Partnerships (CEP). These programs collectively serve over 75,000 students and their families each year. Yvette also serves as the UC Office of the President's designated Campus Chief Outreach Officer for UC Berkeley. She is a member of the UC Systemwide K-20 Intersegmental Alliances Council, the Puente Project Advisory Board, and serves as Board Chair for the East Bay Solano County Education Consortium. Additionally, Yvette represents UC Berkeley as the co-lead for the K-16 Bay Area Regional Collaborative, an equity-centered regional network to collectively impact K-16 achievement across the educational continuum leading to high-demand, high-skill careers.
With over 20 years of experience in college access and higher education, Yvette has successfully built programs and initiatives, created strategic outreach plans, driven innovation within CEP, and developed critical systemic and intersegmental partnerships to expand opportunities for K-12 and community college students. Her work has centered on creating meaningful collaborations with school sites, community colleges, universities, and community-based organizations to support students and families.
A proud first-generation college student from San Francisco, Yvette holds a Bachelor's degree from UC Berkeley and a Master's in Education Policy and Management from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. She is deeply committed to advancing educational equity and has served communities in the South Bronx, New York, and the Bay Area throughout her career.
