Academic Advising
ETS College Advisors provide individual academic advising as well as assistance in meeting UC and CSU college entrance requirements. Also, students receive transcript evaluations and referrals to supplemental resources to assist students to remain in school, graduate and matriculate into postsecondary education.
College and Financial Aid Application Assistance
Students are assisted on the college admissions, financial aid, and scholarship applications. ETS keeps students abreast of deadlines and requirements and assists students with the entire applications processes.
Southern California College Campus Tour
Select current juniors in high school have the opportunity to participate in a 4-day tour of Southern California college campuses in the Spring. Students have the opportunity to meet with college admission representatives, students, and other campus officials who will be instrumental in helping them plan their post-secondary education.
SAT/ACT Test Preparation
ETS provides upperclassmen (juniors and seniors) with SAT and/or ACT classes, in-person or virtual, during the academic year.
Educational, Social, and Cultural Activities
Throughout the year students are introduced to college, career, and socio-cultural awareness of their local communities and beyond. This includes in and out-of-state college tours, visiting historical landmarks and communities, as well as experiencing career exposure and exploration.
Weekly/Monthly Workshops
Interactive and informative workshops are held at each school site provided by an ETS staff and/or community partners. Workshop vary by each school site, examples of topics are: high school and college preparation, financial aid literacy, career planning, and social & emotional learning.
Family Events & Activities
ETS hosts a variety of events and workshops for both parents and students at their school sites, as well as on the UC Berkeley campus. These events take place throughout the academic school year.
