Mónica has dedicated her professional career to advocating on behalf of underrepresented students and broadening their access to higher education. Under her guidance and leadership, the East Bay Consortium recently celebrated their 34th Anniversary of providing academic and college advising services to low-income students. For the past 13 years, she has served as Executive Director of the East Bay Consortium and Director of a California State legislative mandated program, the California Student Opportunity and Access Program, one of the largest outreach programs in California, administered by the California Student Aid Commission. Monica has over 28 years of experience working in the field of education and non-profit and over 13 years of experience in non-profit management. Monica is dedicated and passionate about her work and has been recognized locally and nationally for her work at the East Bay Consortium.
